Final Suspect Arrested in Triple Homicide on Wadley Drive

Aiken, SC (30 November 2022, 4:30 pm) – Today, Sheriff Hunt is announcing the arrest of Alvin Artis IV who is wanted for Murder in connection with a June 26th triple homicide on Wadley Drive in Aiken.  U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Lawton Police Department (Oklahoma) arrested Artis IV today around, 10:40 am (CST).  Artis was found at 2527 NW 38th Street, Lawton, OK, where he was taken into custody without incident.  Artis was taken to the Comanche County Detention Center, OK, where he will be held pending an extradition hearing.

 

On June 26, 2022, around 1:30 pm, deputies were called to 226 Wadley Drive for reports of gunfire.  The shooting claimed the lives of Willie Garrett, Ivan Perry, and Cameron Carroll.   Two additional suspects, Xabian U. Bailey (18) and a fifteen (15) year old juvenile suspect were arrested on June 26th and June 30th respectively.  Sheriff Hunt said “We are grateful for the relationships we have with State and Federal law enforcement partners that assisted with this latest arrest.  Even though we still have work to do, it is our hope that these arrests bring some comfort to the families of Willie, Ivan, and Cameron.”
