Capt. Eric Abdullah

Special Operations/Community Services

Captain Eric Abdullah supervises the Special Operations/Community Services Division which includes the Bloodhound Team, Warrants Team, Sex Offender Registry, Tax Enforcement, SWAT and Community Programs. Capt. Abdullah also conducts all internal investigations resulting from complaints lodged against ACSO and its employees as well as the Public Information Officer.

He joined the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office in January 2003 as a Deputy Sheriff where during his service with the agency he has held the ranks of Corporal and Sergeant in the Uniform Patrol Division. Prior to his current position, Capt. Abdullah was one of four shift Lieutenants in the Patrol Division.

Captain Abdullah’s law enforcement training includes being a graduate of the FBI National Academy, a South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy Basic Instructor, earning a Bachelors in Criminal Justice in 2008 and a Masters in Science and Management in 2009. Prior to joining the agency, Captain Abdullah served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves as a military policeman since 1993.

In April 2013, he was named Captain of Special Operations/Community Services.
