Capt. Sean Zeigler
Criminal Investigations Division
Capt. Zeigler joined the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office in April of 2002 as a deputy in the Uniformed Patrol Division. He was subsequently promoted to the rank of Corporal in 2003. Capt. Zeigler then began his journey into the Investigations Division when he was promoted to the rank of Investigator in the Juvenile Section of the Criminal Investigation Division in July of 2004.
He served in that capacity until he transferred into the Narcotics Section of the Criminal Investigations Division in November of 2007. During that time he also served as a Task Force Officer for the BATFE (ATF) and helped expand the agency’s enforcement capabilities by working with numerous agencies in and around the state at different levels to combat violent crime while assisting in on-going violent crime investigations relevant to Aiken County.
Capt. Zeigler was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in the Narcotics Section in November of 2014 and held that position until he was selected to oversee the Criminal Investigations Division in September of 2021. He obtained a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the USC (Columbia).
